Celcure Africa Timber Preserving is a broad based black economic empowerment company. Our core business is to manufacture industrial timber preservatives that are for sale to the national and international market.

History
Celcure Africa Timber Preserving was previously known as Rentokil Timber Preserving. Rentokil Timber Preserving started in 1968 under Rentokil PLC.

In December 2004, Rentokil Timber Preserving operated independently from the holding company.

In July 2006, Rentokil Timber Preserving was sold by Rentokil Initial PLC, to Celcure Africa Timber Preserving and Celcure Africa Timber Preserving was permitted to trade as Rentokil Timber Preserving for six moths. In January 2007 Celcure Africa Timber Preserving started trading under their own name. Our head office is based in Johannesburg, South Africa and our manufacturing plant and technical division is based in Westmeade, Pinetown, Kwazulu Natal, South Africa.With over 40 years of experience in the manufacturing of industrial timber preservatives and the installation and commissioning of industrial timber preserving plants, Celcure Africa Timber Preserving offers a complete package to prospective customers. Once a customer has located a suitable site to erect the timber preserving plant, our technical division assists in the following areas:

• Identification of competent environmental consultants to conduct EIA’s, where relevant;
• Design, conduct a Hazop study, construct, install and commission the timber preserving plant;
• Provide plant operator training;
• Provide guidance on Health and Safety for employees in the timber preserving plant;
• Provide assistance to the plant operator should the need arise.

Our timber preserving products are supplied to timber treating plants, saw mills, timber wholesalers and retailers throughout Africa.
